Cookies

How long we retain your data

Your shipping address details are stored temporarily on our secure webserver for the purposes only of fulfilling your order. This data will be deleted after a period of 1 year. An offline paper record of customer orders is kept for a period of three years.

If you leave a review, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register a shop account on our website , we also store the personal information you provide in a user profile. Any user can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Who we share your data with

Our ecommerce is currently fulfilled by Woocommerce (an Automattic company) and Paypal. Your order details are sent to their servers solely for the purpose of administering your purchase. Our shipments are currently fulfilled by Royal Mail via their online Click and Drop service. Your shipping address will be temporarily added to their server solely for the purposes of dispatching your order. Visitor reviews may be checked through the automated spam detection service Askimet.

How we protect your data

To purchase a product from this store we require a delivery address and email address. These are stored securely on a remote server only for the purposes of handling your order and will not be stored longer than necessary or used for any other purposes, eg marketing or sales information distribution.

What data breach procedures we have in place

Your order details are removed from our webserver after a period of 12 months from date of order. An off-site paper record of your email address is kept of a period of 3 years to be used only in the unlikely event of a data breach to alert you that your data may have been compromised in that initial period.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

We only collect minimal personal data for the sole purpose of administering your order. All other tracking data is anonymised. If you have purchased books from this site you may ask for a record of what data has been recorded.
