The Artel Press will be at Worcester Cathedral on Saturday 20th May 2023 at 11am for a reading and book signing by Catherine Swire.
Please join us for this free event which accompanies a major new exhibition Rain, Wind and Change by the acclaimed artist Bridget Macdonald, whose series of drawings took inspiration from Catherine’s poetry collection Soil published by The Artel Press in 2021.
Catherine will be reading a new essay which uses Bridget’s masterful drawings to engage in a wide-ranging and profound conversation about landscape art and an exploration of history.
The South Cloister of the Cathedral is an atmospheric venue for Bridget’s drawings and paintings which include both landscape and figure drawings and 3 paintings of the Black Worcester pear.
There will be an opportunity to meet both poet and painter after the event. All are welcome.
