Alternative Perspectives: at Corke Gallery

The Artel Press will be one of the partners at Alternative Perspectives, an evening of Art, Food & Literature in Liverpool this December.

Come and join us at Corke Gallery on the UK Election Night from 7-9pm on Thursday 12 December 2019 to escape from the politics, and enjoy a night of culture and conversation in the company of artists and writers, including Artel Press author Janet Corke.

Janet Corke will be attending to talk about her debut novel A Hidden Home in the Gwydyr Forest which has recently just been released in its second edition, just months after its first publication in June 2019.

For those with an interest in or connection with Liverpool and North Wales in the decades of the 1950s and 1960s this is a wonderful opportunity to meet Janet, to learn more about the success of her memoir, and also to buy an exclusive signed copy of her book.

And if you have read and enjoyed the title, then her son Nic, (‘The Big Help!’) who features so affectionately in the book, will also be there in person – as host and curator of Corke Gallery.

This event will also feature a new exhibition of striking ‘Clown’ paintings by Andy Dunlop, lead guitarist of Travis aka ‘Elfi’, plus Dr Hayley Tait whose new plant-based cookery book Health on the Hob has recently been published by Heathful Heart Books.
