Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds is the venue for the Northern launch of Jamie Finfer’s wonderful debut poetry collection In Foro published this autumn by The Artel Press.
Join us in the Hyde Park Book Club snug at 11am December 15th 2022 for coffee, cake and conversation with Jamie, who will be reading from his book In Foro and talking with The Artel Press about the vivid experimental narratives in his poetry.
Originally from nearby Tadcaster, Jamie’s writing continues to capture something of the wild beauty of Yorkshire but whose poems also draw on world events, both now and in antiquity.
Poems such as The Song of the Yorkshire Undertaker and The Dread Paralysis of Jugurtha fuse landscape, semiotics and linguistics in a heady mix that is an outstanding first collection from one of the UK’s most interesting new poets.
